Following the appeal for timber for bird boxes, a local company has offered the below containers to TPEG for use as planters, raised beds, etc. They are being supplied to TPEG at no cost on the understanding that a £5 donation is made to TPEG funds for each one.
The boxes are 1500mm long, 300mm wide and 150mm deep. They are made in the UK from 28mm thick FSC timber. They are VERY solid. Each has a bottom and is supported by plywood ‘feet’.
Some boxes are more weathered than the ones in these images, but the construction and materials are the same in every one.
They are all the same size and as such can be stacked on top of each other. The bottom of the boxes can be removed to make a double depth container, ideal for where a deeper level of compost is required.
