The Great British Spring Clean is taking place between the 28th May and the 13th June.
Last years national campaign had to be cancelled because of Covid, however it is back this year.
Thousands of organised litter picks will be going on throughout the country during this period and we are also going to play our part.
At 10am on Wednesday 2nd June we are organising a litter pick in Potter Holes plantation. A considerable amount of rubbish has accumulated at the bottom of the banking in the woods which has been blown down or thrown down from the roadside.
This event will be supported by Twiggs and hopefully McDonalds staff along with as many local supporters and residents as possible.
There has been a tremendous response and interest at the last two community litter picks, and we hope this will continue forward.
If you would like at assist, then we will meet in the small parking area at the entrance to the woods at the top of Westwood New Rd at 10am.
Please bring any protective equipment you have, i.e. gloves, litter pickers. We will provide bags and hi-viz vests and we do have a limited supply of picker sticks available.
