The Dipping Pond.
Located between New Road and Thorncliffe Way, the dipping pond was installed when the houses were built. There is a nice little board walk, a few trees, a few weeds, a patch of grass – did I mention a few weeds?
The pond links the estate to New Road with a nice little path. This makes it really easy to acces the School entrance,
However, over the years the weeds, I think I mentioned these before, have taken almost the whole area. The water seems to have disappeared, and where there were nice natural bull rushes and Bog Grass, we now have brambles and some rather snazzy variegated grass – (and a few more weeds)
The facility that was there is now beyond use. TPEG – with a little help – is going to put that right
