At 10.30am on Saturday 27th November 2021 we are organising winter tidy of the Dipping Pond on New Road.
It’s just that time of year to do this stuff. We need to clear some leaves, cut back vegetation and remove some weeds.
This is all to give nature another hand around the pond.
This year is the FIRST YEAR for ages that there has always been water in the pond, and as a result there have been obvious signs of wildlife returning. The pond was dug a little deeper in the spring, and a bit more at the end of summer, which seems to have resulted in a permanent wet area.
The meeting point is at the Dipping Pond on New Road, Tankersley at 10.30am

Thanks to those who came along, the path is now a little tidier, bushes trimmed, habitat created, boardwalk cleared and some gardening completed.
